Although local anesthesia ensures that our patients do not feel any pain during the operation, some
patients may avoid treatment because they cannot overcome their fears about the operation. In this
case, we offer our patients a good alternative: treatment during sleep with sedation.
Sedation has similarities with general anesthesia but it is a different application. The patient is put to
sleep with the drugs given. The patient does not feel any pain during sleep, but can respond to the
dentist’s commands. During sedation, the patient’s breathing is open and can breathe.
Thanks to this method, our patient does not remember anything about the operation as he is in a
deep sleep during the operation and the operation is finished for them in almost a blink of an eye.
In addition, with this method, we prevent the nausea reflex that you may experience during the
treatment.
